Popular fishery receives boost as more silvers are introduced for the winter.
North Somerset’s Bullock Farm Fishing Lakes has announced a the stocking for two of its lakes in order to boost winter sport.
Both the Match Lake and South Pool of the five-lake complex have received a boost of silver fish to keep anglers occupied over the colder months.
In total 300 tench, including a number of golden tench, have gone into the Match Lake, while the South Pool has received 100lb of skimmers around 10inches long, plus a healthy stocking of bigger bream over 4lb.
“The tench in the Match Lake have already started showing with bags being caught off peg 10 and 14 to 25,” the fishery's owner, Phil Simmons told Pole Fishing. “You have to fish light to get them though, chopped worm and maggot is the bait to use.
“The bream in South Pool haven’t shown up yet but they will and they’ll give some great sport over winter.”
All of the new fish that have gone into Bullock Farm's waters were supplied by Devon's Priory Fisheries.
