Up Close: MAP EVA Luggage

Pole Fishing magazine editor Jake Fowles checks out the Seal System range of EVA luggage from MAP, including some new additions.

EVA luggage is all the rage these days and offers a practical and no-nonsense solution to tackle transportation and storage, as well as proving incredibly hard-wearing and easy to clean should it inevitably get a little grimy while out on the bank.

As we have come to expect of fishing tackle favourite MAP, its very own range of EVA luggage ticks a lot of boxes, proving to be a popular choice for many. Along with sleek, stylish aesthetics, Seal System designs come in a variety of shapes and sizes to cover a number of storage uses.

In 2018 Seal System was introduced with the five-strong luggage line-up including: a catapult case, perfect for storing a dozen or more catapults with ease; a long accessory case that seemingly lends itself towards the storage of hooklength boxes, with many of the market’s current designs of hooklength boxes slotting straight in with ease; two smaller multi-purpose accessory cases perfect for all your ‘odds & sods’ – pole cups, feeders, smaller hook boxes, you name it – and finally the largest item in the initial launch was the Seal System Bait System.

Designed to transport bait and keep it protected, a large outer case houses five internal bait tubs – two medium and three small. Like the rest of the range a zipped, tinted lid ensures the protection of the contents while a carry handle makes transportation from A to B a doddle.

Stink Bags

Now, for 2019 there are new additions to the Seal System range in the form of two EVA net bags, featuring the same carbon-look design and stylish blue details featured through the rest of the range. Available in two sizes, the XL and XXL Stink Bags are the perfect net transportation system for commercial venues, with enough room to carry up to five keepnets plus landing-net heads and side trays that can be stored within the separate outer tray pocket.

Heavy-duty handles, zips, adjustable shoulder strap and a water drainage plug aid usability while the hard-wearing EVA material used ensures a functional and waterproof solution to carrying wet and smelly nets to and from the bank.

Eva Net Bag: £45/£49.99

Bait System: £39.99

Seal System Accessory Cases: From £10.99
